I certainly perceived the presence of what you called "marauding
hordes", at the DC org in the 1967-70 period. But it was more of a
standby status than a attempt to intervene, at that time.

Have you considered that this phenomena might be related to Hubbard's
labeling of all other than human beings as "Body Thetans"? And perhaps
the attempt to intervene was to prempt the treachery that was occuring
in the Guardian Office, the violation of the privileged nature of
session disclosures, the tacit agreements that lead up to the events in
the GO, the criminal trials of the GO execs, NOTS, Hubbard's flight from
the world, and the dismantling of the mission network?

This full blown psychic warfare is still very much alive, and
escalating. Only today many of the participants are disaffected and
deceased former solo NOTS auditors and Spiritual Teammates, past and
present.
